Cycle for Life 2024

Our annual cycle ride is returning and we would love you to get pedalling and join us at the start line.

Cycle for Life is a popular event as it appeals to cyclists of all ages and abilities from beginners and families enjoying a fun ride through the beautiful Essex countryside to experienced cyclists looking for a greater challenge.

Prices – Early Bird Offer – limited number available!

Adult 20km is £15 (regular price £20)

Adult 50km and 100km is £20 (regular price £30)

Children under 18 are FREE!

Online registrations close at 4pm on Thursday 5 September. After this you can still register on the day when ticket prices will be £30 for the adult 20km and £40 for the adult 50km and 100km.

There is a choice of three cycle routes, all starting and finishing at Farleigh Hospice:

20km*- Depart from 10:15am to 11am

The shortest distance is a family-friendly route that is ideal for the beginner or younger cyclist.

50km* – Depart from 9:15am to 10am

This route is a relaxed cycle ride through all eight of the beautiful Essex Rodings and suits regular cyclists looking for a tougher distance.

100km – Depart from 8:15am to 9am

The longest 100km course is more challenging, going through the Rodings, the picturesque villages of Thaxted and Finchingfield, and then follows 35km of the 2014 Tour de France route. It is ideal for very experienced/professional cyclists. No under 18s.

*For both the 20km and 50km routes, all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
