Burchell and Young Entertainment was built on a shared passion for music, live events and creating memorable experiences. Founded by Craig Burchell and Tom Young, the business brings together decades of industry knowledge, modern event production and a genuine love for entertaining audiences of all ages.

Craig has spent more than 30 years working across the entertainment industry as both a mobile DJ and radio presenter. Over the years, he became a familiar voice across Essex radio, presenting on Chelmsford Radio and Southend Radio, now known as Radio Essex. Even today, Craig can still regularly be heard across local radio stations delivering live Traffic & Travel updates directly from the Essex Traffic Control Centre. Alongside radio and DJ work, Craig also provided children’s entertainment services at Adventure Island during his time working alongside Radio Essex events and promotions.

Tom first entered the industry after being trained and mentored by Craig, and has since built over 7 years of professional experience in entertainment, events and media. As well as performing at events across Essex and beyond, Tom has also worked in radio presenting roles with Essex Hits, Rubix Radio and Radio Southend. Bringing a more modern and technical edge to the business, Tom helped expand Burchell and Young from a single-service DJ company into a broader entertainment and event services brand. Outside of events, Tom is also the founder of PierPoint Digital, specialising in website design and digital services.

Craig brings decades of experience, timeless classics and party throwbacks that keep every generation singing along, while Tom delivers the latest club tracks, chart hits and modern party atmosphere.
